Impact of our work
The provision of modern and functional public convenience facilities in high density areas combined with effective hygiene education that is culturally sensitive has had a positive impact on the local and wider community in Lagos; by reducing the amount of people urinating and defecating openly. Our pilot project of a public convenience facility in Obalende/Ijeh motor park area which is located on Lagos Island serves about 500 users daily, which translates to 2,700 on a weekly basis.
Users of the facility welcomed Metamorphosis sanitary intervention for it's uniqueness in not only providing a clean and properly maintained facility for public use but also for providing hygiene education to it's users.

It is of no doubt that the replication of this sanitary intervention in strategic locations within Nigeria and West Africa will contribute greatly to the reduction of sicknesses relating to unsanitary disposal of human excreta and poor hygiene practices.
